Brand, Communication strategy +
Art direction · Internship during Design Lead program · 2025
Context
Flox, a wildlife-tech startup building ethical, sustainable, and cost-effective wildlife management solutions, is about to scale up. Unfortunately, their great products are unheard of and their communication is very tech-heavy, causing missed opportunities in stakeholder engagement and brand offerings.
Objective
The challenge was to build a cohesive branding and communication strategy that reflects a fast growing wildlife-tech company, and gain brand recognition and presence.
Process + Role
During a 13-week internship at Flox, I led the refinement of their brand and communication strategy. With my project management skills I managed multiple parellel projects: from planning, stakeholder communication, and consulting external brand experts, to updating the brand platform and visual identity. I softened and humanized the tech-heavy feel by adjusting the logo, colour palette, typography, and imagery. I also developed a modular LinkedIn template, initiated a newsletter, designed merch for the team, and led a campaign for a product soft launch - 4 full-page prints in the Dagens Industri. Throughout, I balanced speed with intention in a scaling start-up environment, gaining confidence, trust, and leadership experience.
Result
The outcome is a refreshed and cohesive brand identity that feels more approachable, authentic, light-hearted, and aligned with Flox's nature-tech mission.
The work increased brand clarity across all channels - from print to digital - while laying a flexible foundation for future growth and communication.
